EstLat Pharma

At JSC «Grindeks» the implementation of project EU38765 „Promotion of cross-border partnership between Estonia and Latvia for development of antiviral drugs" (abbreviated as EstLat Pharma) has been initiated. EstLat Pharma is based on May 27^th, 2011 decision by the Estonia-Latvia Programme Steering Committee and September 9^th, 2011 Partnership Agreement among the project partners.EstLat Pharma is being carried out simultaneously in Estonia and Latvia, by the Lead Partner „TBD-Biodiscovery" from Tartu, Estonia and Project Partner JSC «Grindeks» from Riga, Latvia.The purpose of EstLat Pharma is development of a new influenza medication product. European Regional Development Fund will contribute up to EUR 139'900, or 50% of the total project costs.

Project implementation process:

01.08.2011. – 31.01.2012.: In the project four experienced JSC «Grindeks» employees have been hired, analytical equipment and reagents for analytical method development have been purchased. Analytical methods for quality control of raw materials, intermediate products and final pharmaceutical products have been developed. Technology for process control has been improved and quality system for pharmaceutical production has been developed at „TBD-Biodiscovery”. The first production series have been successful manufactured, stability studies of the obtained product have been started. (Published: February 13^th, 2012).
